可勃吸收性測定儀是根據GBT 9775-2008 紙面石膏板,規定的基本參數和要求而設計的。此標準適用于測定各種紙或紙板表面的吸水性。但不適用于準確評價(jià)紙或紙板的書(shū)寫(xiě)性能。
紙與紙板表面吸水量（Cobb）值：?jiǎn)挝幻娣e的紙和紙板在一定壓力、溫度下，在規定時(shí)間內表面所吸收的水量，以g/㎡計。
具體公式如下：C=（G2-G1）×100。

C-可勃吸水值；
G2-吸水后稱(chēng)出之試樣質(zhì)量
G1-吸水前稱(chēng)出之試樣質(zhì)量。
紙和紙板吸收性測定儀是紙和紙板表面吸水性試驗的常規儀器，亦稱(chēng)為紙張表面吸收重量測定儀。這種儀器采用吸收性試驗多種方法中的可勃（Cobb）試驗法，因此也稱(chēng)為可勃吸收性測定儀。
